Kid Project Reader’s Summer Snapshots: Finding Adventure

Every summer we set aside school, evening sports, and many of the social obligations that fill our time and reconnect with our kids. We reconnect with each other. And with friends and family that are often lost in the busyness.

At the start of every summer we brainstorm our “adventurous whims” and pencil trips on the calendar. Our summers are so full of fun! And with the passing of so many amazing bike rides, days at the beach, backpacking trips, nights around the campfire, and hours of free play, I find myself mourning the loss of another summer.

But it isn’t a loss at all! So we are taking today to share your and our favorite “finding adventure” photos from this summer.

Below are Kid Project readers that are living the “#KidProjectLife” : Taking their kids with them, one adventure at a time.

Our friend Melissa from Adventure Tykes shared this photo from her summer:

After backpacking 6 miles to Toxaway Lake J-Man was super excited to cross the creek ford on the return trip. He talked about it the entire way back and when the time finally came he was ecstatic and walked right in.
